Your first cup takes 3 minutes.
Ceremonial cacao is the whole cacao bean, slowly ground into a paste. Nothing taken out, nothing added. It's richer and thicker than hot chocolate, and it's not sweet unless you make it sweet.

Scoop 20 g
About 2 tablespoons, finely chopped. That's one cup.

Add hot water or milk
6 to 8 oz, hot but not boiling. Oat, almond or coconut milk makes it creamier.

Whisk and slow down
Whisk or froth until smooth. Add cinnamon or honey if you like. Then take a quiet minute with your cacao. That's the intention.
Cocoa powder
The cacao butter is pressed out and the rest is dried into powder. It's usually processed for color and mixed with sugar.
